June 8, 2004 The G-box is still open, having had AMI current leads removed for repair. The D-box is closed up, having just had a successful leak check.
June 15, 2004 The G-box and D-box are both open. G-box awaits currents leads back from AMI, but meanwhile Meyer Tool has started piping installation. D-box is open for bus duct and current lead installation. Bus ducts are installed.
June 21, 2004 G-box piping has been mostly set in place. D-box had 5 of 6 HTS leads set in place. The first "porcupine" connector tree was getting its final machining.
June 29, 2004 G-box piping again, more progress. D-box current lead cables show some de-cabling problems.
July 13, 2004 G and D box assemblies both with piping installed. Instrument conduits are installed in both. Cable splicing for high current leads is complete. Expect first return of vapor-cooled corrector leads from AMI this week.
